1 John 4 part 2

“Whoever confesses that Jesus is the Son of God, God abides in him, and he in God. And we have known and believed the love that God has for us. God is love, and he who abides in love abides in God, and God in him.”

‭‭I John‬ ‭4‬:‭15‬-‭16‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

Another characteristic of love in the believer is that the confession of Christ being evidence of God’s presence in our lives. Perfect love that is synonymous with God’s presence.

“Love has been perfected among us in this: that we may have boldness in the day of judgment; because as He is, so are we in this world. There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear involves torment. But he who fears has not been made perfect in love.”

‭‭I John‬ ‭4‬:‭17‬-‭18‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

Satan wants for you to be afraid of what happens to you because if you do then you as a believer so that you will be less effective. God wants you to embrace His love that is without fear so that you may walk in boldness working with Him in the kingdoms work.

“If someone says, “I love God,” and hates his brother, he is a liar; for he who does not love his brother whom he has seen, how can he love God whom he has not seen? And this commandment we have from Him: that he who loves God must love his brother also.”

‭‭I John‬ ‭4‬:‭20‬-‭21‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

Believers are to love in all circumstances. This is because of the love that God has given to us and He wants that love to seep out of us into the world around us. Love is what makes us stand apart from a false prophet or someone else proclaiming God for their own gain. Because our love is genuine and sure, it comes from our steadfast God. Whereas the world will still have the presence of fear, showing that they haven’t been made perfect in love. That is why it is so important to let the love of God dwell richly in us, so that the world may see what is different in us and find Christ for themselves.
