A perfect sacrifice was required to redeem the sin of man.
Someone without spot or blemish.
Someone who could receive the wrath of God for the sins of man and live.
Only One could do such a thing.
Willingly He obeyed the Father and traded His robes of glory for human flesh.
Experiencing humanity on a personal level.
So as to guide us with sympathy and not just empathy.
By His mercy He chose to walk with us and dwell in our broken world.
To be touched by sorrows and grief.
To experience hunger and thirst.
To feel loss and pain.
He taught the ways of Heaven to the captive heart.
Showing us the way.
The way that was through Himself.
Claiming to be the Law of Moses.
Saying this made Him unpopular with many.
Because of this the end of His life was spent in captivity, torture, and betrayal.
His friends had left Him.
The priests had Him arrested; though He did no wrong.
The Romans wanted to put a stop to the troublesome matter.
The Son of man was denied on all sides.
By those He came to save.
His sentence was death.
Death, a way to put the fire out.
The Fire that burned the sinful flesh of men. They extinguished on Calvary.
While doubt swirled in every head, He was laid to rest.
The darkness seemed to envelop the Light.
But there is darkness right before the dawn.
”He is not here, but is risen! Remember how He spoke to you when He was still in Galilee, saying, ‘The Son of Man must be delivered into the hands of sinful men, and be crucified, and the third day rise again.’ ”“
Luke 24:6-7 NKJV
